OfftabIn short
Offtab is a notebook for your own money, with some arithmetic attached. It is not a bank, not an accountant and not a financial adviser, and it can only ever be as accurate as what you tell it.
What Offtab is
A ledger you keep by hand, with help. You tell it what you spent and earned; it files, totals and charts it. It does not connect to any bank or card, and nothing it shows is an authoritative record of your money — your bank's statement is.
Not financial advice
Budgets, suggestions and insights in Offtab are arithmetic performed on figures you entered. They are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice, they are not tailored to your circumstances, and decisions you make with them are your own.
Accuracy is yours to check
Offtab can only be as right as what it was told. Anything it reads out of a sentence you typed or a receipt you scanned is shown to you for confirmation before it is saved. Confirm it.
Your data lives on your device
There is no Offtab account and no Offtab server. Your ledger lives on this device; iCloud backup, if you turn it on, keeps one copy in your own iCloud, which is yours to manage and yours to delete. With backup off, losing or resetting the device — or deleting the app — takes the ledger with it unless you hold a device backup or an export you made from Settings. Keeping one is up to you.
Licence
Offtab is licensed, not sold, for your personal use on devices you own or control, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement except where these terms say otherwise.
No warranty
Offtab is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, it is not liable for loss arising from use of the app — including from a figure that is wrong because of what was entered or how it was read.
Changes to these terms
These terms ship inside the app, so they change only when the app does. Continuing to use a version after it has updated means the version of these terms it carries applies.
